Adani Group Takes Over Management Control Of Mumbai International Airport From GVK
Billionaire Gautam Adani-led Adani Airport Holdings took over the management control of the Mumbai International Airport from the GVK group today to become the country’s largest airport infrastructure company. With the current take over, Adani Airport Holdings Limited – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited, now accounts for 25 per cent of airport footfalls and will also have control of 33 per cent of the country’s air cargo traffic. This comes after the Mumbai International Airport Limited’s board meeting held earlier today and follows approvals received from the central government, Maharashtra government, as well as the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) of Maharashtra, according to a statement shared by the Adani Group.
