Missing Texas woman discovered locked in NC outbuilding: Sheriff

A missing 13-year-old Texas woman was discovered locked in an outbuilding near a North Carolina dwelling, authorities said Monday.

Investigators with the Dallas police and the FBI say a 34-year-old man enticed the woman to go away her dwelling whereas talking collectively together with her on social media, then picked her up in his automobile, Sheriff Richie Simmons said at a data conference in Davidson County, North Carolina.

Video cameras near the woman’s house filmed a automobile registered to an deal with in Davidson County, and a selected agent with the Texas FBI Violent Crimes Task Force contacted the sheriff’s office there on Friday, officers said in a data launch.

“Within 10 minutes our guys had eyes on that residence,” Capt. Stephanie Murphy said. “Everything moved fairly quickly after that.”

Investigators discovered the automobile and carried out a guests stop on the proprietor as he left the home, officers said. During the stop, they discovered that the woman was locked in an outbuilding on the property in Lexington, the place she was discovered. She was taken for medical evaluation and finally returned to Texas, officers said.

The man, acknowledged as Jorge Ivan Santos Camacho, was taken into custody and charged with abduction, felonious restraint, human trafficking, statutory rape, statutory intercourse offense and indecent liberties.
